  • 2 cups of water

  • 1-2 tsp honey or sweetener of your choice (optional)

  • 1 slice of fresh lemon (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Leaves: Pluck 6-8 fresh leaves from your Holy Basil plant. Gently rinse them under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.

  2. Boil Water: In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. If you prefer a stronger tea, you can adjust the water quantity to your liking.

  3. Add the Leaves: Once the water is boiling, add the fresh Holy Basil leaves to the water. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes. You can gently bruise the leaves with a spoon to release more of their natural oils and flavors.

  4. Strain the Tea: After the leaves have steeped, strain the tea into a cup to remove the leaves. You can also choose to leave the leaves in for a stronger taste, but it’s up to you!
